The jet stream is moving over the Midwest to the NE. To the west, there is a circulating area that could be developing a series of weather events.

There is long cold front to the east, and the stationary front to the west carrying a low pressure system. The Midwest is under a high pressure system.

The high pressure system is causing a change in temperatures. The Midwest is experiencing cooler temperature compared to early in the week when it was in the high 50s, now down to 20s this week.
